"Instantly heal yourself and all nearby team mates. The amount you are healed will go up for each team mate healed."
Combat Medicine is the ability Soldiers have to heal themselves and their teammates. It is a free alternative to using bandages, but you have to be in the soldier's vicinity as the radius of the skill is limited. The amount of hitpoints healed increases with the number of people healed and is equal to the amount to the earned XP through this action. Combat medicine is one of the cornerstones of the soldiers ability arsenal, and it's generally a good idea to get a high combat medicine level as early as possible.

Users of Combat Medicine (I.E. the Soldier casting it) gain points and more health based upon how many team mates they heal with it. Theoretically, it is possible to pull oneself from the brink of death (1 HP) back up to full health (110-120 HP) by activating Combat Medicine while surrounded by wounded allies. It is also possible to play "Support," focusing on the use of Combat Medicine to keep your allies alive as opposed to entering combat yourself (presumably, the ideal way to play Soldier is to strike a balance between Support and Offense.)
