James Wyatt, or better known as Agent Aguire, is a character that appears in Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

Role

Bad Company is sent to Bolivia to extract Aguire, who supposedly knows much about the WMD the Russians were trying to procure. A Russian soldier has him hostage and Preston shoots the Russian with an MP-443 Grach. Aguire then sends 'B' Company to Chile to get information on the WMD and its location. After much searching, Preston eventually finds it in an old freighter, the Sangre de Toro. Preston brings it back to Aguire who then double-crosses them and gives the weapon to Kirilenko. Sweetwater said he'd found out about Aguire's relations to Thomas Wyatt: his father, who was sent on a suicide mission in the Pacific to test the power of the weapon built by the Japanese. Aguire wanted to get revenge on the U.S. in general for technically killing his father. Kirilenko then double-crosses Aguire by shooting him in the back.

Trivia

  • Aguire's real name is James Wyatt, as evidenced by a line of dialogue spoken by Sweetwater- "...He had a son, James, about your age."
  • He looks like his father, Thomas, from Operation Aurora, possibly using the same character model.
  • When Preston has to shoot the guard holding Aguire hostage, the scene bears much similarity to the hostage scene in Call of Duty 4's Mile High Club where the player had to shoot the terrorist with a pistol.
